"Yabang Pinoy"

Posted by Mr. JuanStep

Due to the many problems the Philippines are encountering right now, numerous CAMPAIGNS are made to raise the FILIPINO SPIRIT in each of us. One of which is, truly yours, JUAN STEP. The makers of these campaigns are individuals and groups that aim to HELP our dying country because of different circumstances. Another is YABANG PINOY. Yabang Pinoy what?

"“Yabang Pinoy” is a campaign to raise awareness and heighten Filipino people's ethos, dignity and pride by advocating the use of a piece of braided abaca band that aims to make a statement. The abaca band aims to signify a Filipino being truly proud to be one."

To show that I am PROUD of being a Filipino and to show that I am an advocate of UNITY among the Filipino people, I bought an ABACA BAND and a TEE from The T-shirt Project in Greenhills yesterday.

An Abaca Band is worth P50.00. It's not that itchy to wear especially when you get used to it. It is very light so you may not ungear it if you don't want to.

This shirt costs P395.00. It has a good-looking print in front that says things that represent the Filipino people and the Philippines such as "Halo-halo", "Tabo sa banyo", etc. Its fabric is not thin yet it's not heavy, making it comfy to wear.

At the upper part of its back is a small print of the Yabang Pinoy logo.

The proceeds from the sale go to their projects that are still to come, and to THE CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND ACTION FOUNDATION (CEAAF) which aims to raise the awareness of the YOUTH about the rich biodiversity of the Philippines.

There are different designs and colors of t-shirts to choose from. If you want to see them, go to THE T-SHIRT PROJECT STORE or go to YABANG PINOY'S website.

More power to YABANG PINOY!

Hi,thank you for the visit.Cheers.

I so badly wanna buy the abaca band but I don't know where to buy. Now I know! Have you try buying Team Manila shirts? The designs are cool, though they're much more expensive.

Thanks for the visit.

Me too. Before I've bought mine, I've gone to different malls. I know about Team Manila Shirts, yet I haven't bought one. Are they comfy to wear?

Thanks for the visit too.

Hey there! Thank you for visiting my blog. Those abaca band and tees are amazing. Proudly Pinoy! Keep up the great job!

Thanks for visiting my blog. A lot of things in the Philippines to be proud of. From Boxer, singer and Top notches in the school in the US is Filipino. And my heart still in the Philippines no matter what.

How much is the Bracelet. I know how to make jewelry from beads, pearl and knot. And sell them in Ebay. I stop making right i got so busy. but I will continue to make it.

You should sell it in eBay.

Thank you for visiting my blog too, Inday_adin. They're really amazing.Thank you!

Maria, I agree with that. There are a lot of things that we should be proud of as Filipinos. There are a lot of things that brought pride and glory to the Philippines. We should always appreciate those.

The braceleth is worth P50.00. I'm not the one who makes the Abaca bands. They're sold by Yabang Pinoy.

i am in awe of these movements. when i started bloggin in 2005, there was this movement, too, about uplifting the perception about Filipina women. i am not sure if it is still active.

i like the band. it's very Filipino.

Me too. I was really amazed that there were people who dedicated their time in doing such movements; different purpose, yet one goal - to help the Philippines and its people.

I agree. It represents our nation.

one of my classmates wore those stuff in the dog tag day; the shirt, and the wrist band. he also reads your blog, and his cp's wallpaper is a Juan Step banner. i actually looked for that banner here, but i didn't find it. don't know where he got it. hmmm...

i haven't bought one too. but it looks comfy.
